Just a warning to warn anyone that was thinking of giving this company a shot. I did and it was the biggest mistake I made with making large purchases for my new home in the past few months. COVID has nothing to do with the absolutely horrible service I've received thus far.
I purchased 5 appliances at the Tysons, VA location on July 8th and after 17 emails and countless unanswered phone calls I am now being told that the "estimated shipping date" is September 16th. I found out that Brian McLaughlin, the salesman that "helped" me, did not even place my order until just recently (couple weeks ago) because of some sort of credit authorization that the purchasing department apparently never sent me which if this is true, he only found out because I asked him for an update after waiting patiently for 3 weeks with no communication from him or anyone at AJ Madison.
I have wasted so much time and energy dealing with this mess of a company for nothing. I know for a fact that 2 separate co-workers of mine ordered 3 of the same exact model appliances from different retailers 1 week AFTER I placed my order and they have received their items 2-3 weeks ago while I've been given the run around from Brian. I have been lied to repeatedly regarding item availability. I was told that 3 of the items were in stock couple weeks ago but they will not ship them until the other 2 items become available POSSIBLY in 1 month, meanwhile the items that were in stock are no longer available as well because they have sold to other customers. How f'ed up is that huh?
Considering the BS they've put me through, they will not even offer me other items that are available in stock to help find a solution to the further delay caused due to their own incompetence. I have been very patient and understanding given the current times we are in but I believe this company and probably many more out there are using COVID as an excuse for their lack of accountability and respect for their customers. This is most likely because they know that they'll be going out of business very soon.

Horrible customer service - terrible wait times on phone then you get i will email you or call you back and nothing... would give 0 stars if i could - 4 months into a order and i have received 2 of 4 pieces and cant get a straight answer out of anybody there all lies

I ordered a washing machine

I ordered a washing machine.
The delivery was a few days later than expected, but I was OK with that. The problem was that after the machine was installed there was water leaking from the machine. I called the same day to get the installers to return for troubleshooting. There was a work order issued and I was told they would call me within 3 days to schedule the appointment. After 3 phone calls and multiple emails, there has been no response. This has now been over a month. I have since disputed the charge and had it removed from my credit card - still no response. Based on lack of response and no follow-up on a $1366 washing machine - I wish I could give a zero star review.

awful company

awful company. Do not buy here. They are responsive to sell, but after that the shipment process is a disaster, they will refuce to reimburse you, will not reply to emails

Buyer beware, shop elsewhere!!

I purchased a scratch and dent stove at a reduced price. AJ Madison misrepresented the actual damage to the stove and it’s currently unserviceable without necessary parts to repair it, which they refuse to send and have stopped corresponding about it.
They are unresponsive, show very much apathy in trying to resolve the issue, and won’t return any phone calls or emails.
Shop somewhere else!!

Ordered a Samsung wall unit…

Ordered a Samsung wall unit oven/microwave. Delivery was prompt compared to other companies, but that was the only good thing. About 2 days after having it installed, my wife did the self cleaning. This locked the oven door and it won't unlock. For over a week, we have been going round and round with samsung with no resolution. We have 2 ticket numbers. The last person we spoke with said we had reached the top of the chain - still nothing. Now we'll call aj madison and talk to them. Think twice about doing business with aj madison or samsung. Another thing we found out about samsung. They are a korean company and very few appliance repair shops work on their appliances. Beware.

Samsung range & refrigerator

I bought a Samsung range and refrigerator from AJ Madison. They matched the best price I could find nationally. I needed shipping from NJ to ME. When I ordered, customer service immediately contacted me to let me know both items were back-ordered and if I wanted to cancel. I said no, let me know when they arrive. I was contacted and delivery scheduled when each item arrived at the dock. Delivery service and tracking was excellent. Items were delivered in perfect condition. Price, service communication, and delivery all met my expectations. I will certainly purchase from this company again.

You will get screwed over

I placed an order for a brand new stove and fridge for almost 5 thousand dollars.
My fridge took over a month to get here even though it was listed as quick ship. And it came damaged!!
On top of that, I have been waiting for about 3 months for my stove to be shipped out and was promised I would recieve it as it was on the last production line. I found out today, I am not getting this stove.
I asked for a full refund, and they said they did not have my money! I had to argue with them that they did, its on my bank statement.
I also asked for an incentive since they have had my money for such a long period of time. And they are not giving me one.
Do not go through ajmadison. You will get screwed over. You will have to wait a long time to get what ever it is you ordered. Your items will possibly come damaged, or you may not get your item at all.

Ordered a $16k Viking range

Ordered a $16k Viking range. I had to supply the gas line, installers whom were hired by AJ told me I needed a longer gas line- left. Range not installed, been calling for over a week and a half- can’t get anybody to arrange for installers to come back out. Talked to sales representative who refered me to customer service who referred me to a concierge delivery person. Nothing- been 72 hours- have $16 k range that is not working-…and I paid an additional $75 for them to come out the second Time- can’t even get them to respond. Will be Going after them for then$75/and additional money I am having to pay an outside company to install.

Very dishonest

I am certain these people are not honest. They advertise free delivery but I paid $75. I wrote special delivery instruction in the appropriate box. They advertise that I will get an email and phone call before delivery. Neither happened. The A. C. was delivered next door. I am 67 and there is no way I can carry it.

I called an complained and they said UPS would come back and bring it to my home. They never did. I called and spend at least 1 1/2 hours on the phone, got disconnected twice and no one called back.

I will never shop with them again!

Purchased Brand New Range, Received a Refurbished Range.

I purchased an electric range on 2/24 order# 131506275 along with their New leaf service Pro 1 unit 5 year warranty and Smart choice installation accessory. I paid the amount of $1,501.00 for the range. AJMadison committed to providing a brand new electric range that I did not receive. The range is severely damaged. Once I unpacked the range from the box. I saw there was no shrink wrapping on the stove as there was for the refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher that I also purchased from AJMadison. I have included photos of the damages on the range. The rubber seal that traps the heat from escaping from the range is broken. There is an enormous scrap near the bolt in the middle of the range where the door would clasp on to so it can lock. There are smudges all over the range. The bottom drawer is severely scrapped as if this is a refurbished range. There is heavy discoloration in the bottom drawer along both edges and backing of the drawer. There is a scrape along the upper right corner of the draw frame and the whole right side of the frame is warped. If you are facing the range, the right leg is broken and the screws are both stripped. Every time I call the company to speak with someone I am on hold for over 2 hrs. I am then advised I have reached the incorrect department and then connected over and disconnected on. I reached out to Megan Messing via email. I was advised my replacement has been approved. I will need to send the serial tag via UPS referencing my order number and ATT Megan. The business has yet to resolve my current issue due to my package not being received on their end with the serial tag. I have also sent the serial number via email per their request. I am demanding a full refund for this range and requesting the company send someone to pick up this NON-NEW REFURBISHED RANGE from my residence.

My husband and I ordered a dishwasher

My husband and I ordered a dishwasher. The installers banged and cracked the dishwasher on the first time attempted delivery. I refused delivery of the broken dishwasher - which they tried to get me to keep. A few days later they came with another dishwasher. The installers scratched the door in 2 places during the installation and left before I noticed the scratches.
Within 10 minutes of the installers leaving my home, I contacted AJ Madison and asked them to remove the dishwasher and refund my money. They refused. They offered 25% discount which reluctantly I accepted. However, they never actually gave us the credit!
On top of that, the installers kept removing their face masks in my home. I have not yet been vaccinated and do have a high-risk medical condition.
DO NOT BUY FROM AJ MADISON!!

Disaster company for shopping

after a long search i came across with this company and after find an electric range that I look for it, call them to see when I would get this range if i place order right away, and sale person (David Ettelson DO NOT TRUST HIM) which obviously looking to get the deal promised with in 5-7 business day I will get the range and after 14 days when I called(after 45 min. to 1 hour waiting on the line) could talk to some one which didn't have any answer and have to call again and again and finally talk to a lady that said will check with tracking company and call/email me back which she didn't (same attitude with other people in this company) the next day again call to David and he didn't have any answer for me and just just transferred me to another line which again waiting for more than 20 min. and finally talk to Brian(he said he is) and like others he didn't have any answer and lying about the lady that would going to contact with me for the tracking information and he kind of hang up on me(actually transferred me to David which went off completely) and now another day passed no news not easy to talk to any one. this is a horrible experience with a company and every one in this company try to scape from any answer. just remember if you want to prevent getting into such things highly recommend to go to a local store and get your appliances directly from them and do not even think about to buy any thing from them.
Please give me a contact no. (direct number not the one have to wait more than 20 min. to hear prerecorded answering system) I will call you with any information that you need.
Look they asked for more details to check the case and when I asked them to give me a direct number to call them with all those information, THEY DID NOT ANY RESPONSE SINCE THIS IS THE WAY THEY ARE WORKING, JUST TALKING AND DO NOT DO ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ordered Appliances on 7/10/20, it's 3/22/21 and still do not have

I lost my home in hurricane Michael on 10/10/18. We were building a new home back and ordered appliances on 7/10/19. Today is 3/22/21 and I still do not have my Refrigerator and Freezer and their customer service department can't tell me when I would get them. I was originally told it would be October 2020. When I didn't receive them I was then told January 2021, then February 2021, and now March 2021. Since we were building a home I had to send spec sheets for appliances so my cabinets are built to accommodate this set. The salesman has been rude, not helpful and told me I have to call Customer Service which in itself is an oxymoron. This has been a nightmare... I did receive my oven and dishwasher after 1 year ordering but to this date haven't received the warranties that I paid for. Mary Ann
